Reggie and I set up his tent in the living room and watched a movie from it. We are trying to take more pictures of the things we do even if it includes movie watching. Movie watching is the best although I fall asleep a lot. It doesn't matter what time we are watching a movie. This was actually really fun watching The Man from Snowy River from a tent.
I learned how to belay. Here I am belaying Reggie. His life is in my hands although he did not slip once on this climb! We had such a great memorial weekend because Reggie set his studies aside for three days.
I am almost there to the top! Look close and you'll see me. I complained the whole time I climbed but I did love it.
This was a girls trip to Tai Pan in St. George. I was surprised that this store was as fun as it was. There were eight of us and each of us filled a shopping cart. The fun part of this trip was packing the car to go home! Aubrey was an amazing packer. It was a miracle we were able to fit all of our bodies and our purchases into the car.

Westlake Recording Studios

Here is my first project for this semester. It's corporate offices for Westlake Recording Studio. My concept was "Visual Music." I am now working on a corporate space, design studio, and boutique for Ted Baker. This is my final project for this semester, so that's exciting eh? I hope these are exciting for you all to look at. Instead of posting fun pictures, I just post school assignments. But, that is about all that I am up to (well, and loving Reggie of course).

Just to illustrate what I noted below about harsh critiques (this one is actually just rude) - I just received this on a small lighting project about two seconds ago. I couldn't believe my eyes! I just want to disclose that I met requirements... not the minimum. And, yes, this did make me cry. Not because this means that I got a B on this assignment, but because he applied this lousy assignment to my life!

Alright. Here are my projects thus far this semester. It has been a little wild and exhausting. This class, Interior design, and Mechanical Systems take up 75% if not more of my time. They are full of research, project submittals, project re-submittals, harsh critiques, loss of money and sleep...etc. Apparition Aisle wasn't too bad, but this Kitchen was another story. Let me quickly explain some of the experiences I had with it. Jessica and Beau were my clients. I know that this doesn't exactly have Beau and Jessica written all over it, but my teacher pretty much told me that the clients I chose were boring (he tells me I am boring all the time though, so... it's not just the Englands) Anyway, so I decided that it should have some influences of Pop Art (which my teacher said there was not enough of). I stayed up till 3 about every night this week working on this thing and another Mechanical Systems project that was due this week. I flubbed on a lighting presentation because I was working on this project - embarrassing. Then, I did not sleep Wednesday or Thursday night, but stayed at school for this. YES that is 48hrs of no sleep - you should try it some time. I watched 6 girls cry because they were doing the same thing as me. Then I cried because the computer was slow and I needed to work faster. I paid $150 to have these boards printed and just about shot myself for thinking printing at Kinkos might be better than printing at the school where it would have been about $45 to print. Never again. Then I presented for about 15 minutes, took my boards down. Went home Friday at 5:30 and hit the sack. I woke up this morning at 3 because my sleeping schedule is messed now. I am doing good though, and I will cry happy tears when this semester is over. (oh and my legs are finally not hairy and I am going to have a mani/pedi today.)

Restaurant within a mall. That was really the most specifications we had for this project aside from columns and adjacencies and stuff. We were allowed to choose the food/theme. Ironically, I chose seafood-no me gusta.This was my final. The product was Aveda and the place was Lisbon. Click on either of these photos for closer views.

Waipai'o Valley! This was my favorite for sight seeing. Everything was beautiful in Hawaii, but this was incredible. In the valley runs a freshwater river which flows right into the ocean. I pet a wild horse on this beach!!

Here are some projects from my portfolio. This is what I do at school. You can click on any of these to see them a bit better.

This one is a bit morbid, I know. We were supposed to take a photograph from a certain photographer (I can't think of his name) and compile floor plans, elevations, etc. of it. This is what I came up with... a cross section of dead man's head.

This one is a bit old. I was learning different techniques of rendering.

This is from my first year studio. We would go outside and sketch on campus. I always felt really cool when people would stop and watch. I felt like a real artist or something I guess.

This was a project this semester. We were renovating a studio villa. My hotel was located in Cambodia and the hotel was French Colonial! I incorporated both, mildly, and kept it mostly modern and classy.

This was the best project ever. At least for me. I think my dad enjoyed it too. At least I hope he did. It just brought back many old memories of my dad building things. I have always admired his talent. I love the smell of sawdust. I always have. My dad loves the smell of wood. He made me smell it when we went to Home Depot for supplies for this project. It just cracked me up. I just want everyone to know, I really did use the table saw and pull-down saw, and the sand belt things (which were all scary, loud, and heavy). All appendages are still intact. Thanks dad-eh!

This is not from that long ago, but this is my first time seeing this picture! It made me excited. This is from, not last Halloween, but the Halloween before. A bunch of us went to Knott's Scary Farm and had a big bonfire on the beach one night. I am goofy in the center. My arms around no one. Just being a doofus!!

OK. I am now finished with another semester! Yeah! This was my final for my 3D Max class. It is a lot of fun, but this was my second time doing this project! I had to do it twice because the day before it was due, my file was "corrupt!!!!" I had to start all over, and the second time around it went much faster. I guess it's good practice.(bah-humbug)

These are the latest projects I have had to remodel. They aren't the best, but most my studies are going to history of architecturte right now. Never-the-less, I still like this class. And the top image are Coca-cola crates, but my lighting is off a bit.

Oreos. Music. Learning. Driving. Work. FAMILY. The gospel: the blessings of eternal families and the knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and much more. I love the latter day prophets and the revelation that has been or is given through them. I love my friends and their examples of making good decisions and starting their little families early in their lives. I love misionary work and I marvel at the prophecy of the gathering of Israel(With 13 million members, President Hinckley said this is only the beginning!!). Cool weather, not cold. Hot weather and swimming. I love cleaning Grandpa's house every Saturday. I love eating peanut M&M's for breakfast at Grandpa's on Saturdays. I love jeans. I love waking up early. I love the feeling of a start of a new day. I love watching the sunrise and set. I love thunder storms. I love holidays. I love roller coasters. I love skydiving. I love the beach. I love riding my bike. I think I would love to ride my bike on the beach. I love my nieces and nephews. They are all so silly and special in their own ways. I love hamburgers. I love dancing in the rain or just dancing, period. I love family home evenings with all my married siblings and their kids. I love computers and almost everything about them (I know that is nerdy, but for real. Admit it, computers are so cool. Especially when you learn new softwares like 3D Max.) I love going to church at the chapel right across the street from the temple. I love campfires and going hiking and fishing. I love guitar and wish I could play. My new favorite song that I love is John Lennon's, "Real Love," but I love it better when Regina Spektor sings it. I can't wait to love a husband. I pretty much love a lot of things, but this is starting to get silly and long, so I would love to stop.
